galEdward Albee «Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?»

A 1962 play by Edward Albee examines the breakdown of the marriage of a middle-aged couple, Martha and George. The title is a pun on the song «Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?» from Walt Disney's Three Little Pigs (1933), substituting the name of the celebrated English author Virginia Woolf. The play won both the 1963 Tony Award for Best Play and the 1962–63 New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Play. It is frequently revived on the modern stage. The film adaptation starring Elizabeth Taylor was released in 1966.

galSamuel Beckett «Waiting For Godot»

This is one of the most worldwide famous plays, in which two characters, Vladimir and Estragon, wait endlessly and in vain for the arrival of someone named Godot. Godot's absence, as well as numerous other aspects of the play, have led to many interpretations since the play's 1953 première. «Waiting for Godot» is Beckett's translation of his own original French version, «En attendant Godot», and is subtitled (in English only) «a tragicomedy in two acts». The original French text was composed between 9 October 1948 and 29 January 1949. The English language version was premiered in London in 1955 and this version was voted «the most significant English language play of the 20th century».
